Strange thing just happened while watching SpaceX rocket

TLDR: Saw a bright orange “orb” accidentaly watching a SpaceX launch while stargazing

I was out stargazing the beach in South Carolina when me and my mom happened to catch the launch of the Falcon 9. We had no idea it was happening and lost our minds at how cool the launch was, saying it might have been a comet or an asteroid, but then all of a sudden an orange ball of the brightest light I’ve seen in the sky lit up above the ocean for a solid 10-15 seconds. It seemed to come out of nowhere and had zero fluttering or flux in the amount of light produced. It turned on and turned off like a light and seemed to be getting bigger right before it disappeared, like half a second before. My mom thought it was coming towards us and audibly went, “what the fuck”, later saying it seemed very mechanical when my dad started questioning her and my own excitement. I stargaze all the time along the east coast and have never seen anything so odd in the sky. It was seriously like a bright orb of color, I thought maybe it was an explosion from the rocket separation but I seriously just can’t imagine an explosion lasting so long and being so steady in luminance, it also didn’t seem to be in the trail that the rocket came from. It looked close, not out in orbit, almost plane distance. SpaceX or not that was pretty nuts and I hope someone else on the beach saw it and can comment!
