I think most rational people understand that the idea of an airliner being teleported through a portal is as sci-fi and fantastical as it gets. There are so many more prosaic explanations for the plane’s disappearance that should be thought of before we even touch that idea.
Regardless, I think we can all agree that the footage itself and the debate around it has been quite captivating. Though I do believe in the UFO phenomenon very much, it was always my bias that this footage was a VFX fake done by a talented artist.
The hoaxer that created this made a distressing mockery of the disappearance and probable death of these people. Imagine being a loved one of these people and someone is out there trying to change your understanding of your loved one’s final moments in the spirit of a prank, or even give false hope that they might even still be alive in need of rescuing. This wasn’t just a fun little artistic prank. It’s an insult to these people who died and the suffering of their loved ones.
Additionally, the UFO/UAP subject already deals with enough disinformation being intentionally injected by bad actors in order to obfuscate the truth and make a mockery of the phenomena and the people who study it. Clever hoaxes done by artists just trying to toy with people just make it all worse. It’s more noise where we absolutely don’t need anymore noise. It’s not funny or cute.
I don’t have any respect for people who do this sort of thing. It doesn’t matter if their intentions were just playfully mischievous. Shit like this is detrimental to the subject and we don’t need to be rewarding people with 6 figure bounties for this kind of behavior.
Rant over.
