I saw something strange on my way to work at 05:25 this morning. Looking towards Basildon from Benfleet area I saw a very bright glowing white orb streak diagonally across the sky, right to left, and descending. Before it reached the horizon it just vanished as though the light source had been turned off. Visually, it appeared around the size of a golf ball – although it was clearly a mile or two ahead of me. It was travelling at very high speed Not any conventional aircraft. Anyone else seeing this?
