Been lurking a little more now and not sure people have posted this before but just based on landmass and population alone we have to look at these #’s. The US for all the hype right now is less than 2% of the landmass of the world. Then We can also assume more larger landmass authoritarian states like China, Russia will be less likely to have phenomena showing up in US news or social media given their governments tight grip on everything. Then we can also assume less populous countries like Kazakhstan and Canada will not actually have people around at the right time and place given low population.

What about India? They have joined the space race and also have a huge population of people that are tech savvy and one would think would be seeing similar things as other countries. Maybe we can assume their air pollution is so bad that they can’t actually see anything in the sky but all things being equal shouldnt there be proportional sightings based on landmass and population?
