What could be the reason for the U.S. government deeming photo/video evidence of UAP a “threat to national security”? A discussion

After looking over the details of the Eglin AFB 2023 sighting discussed by Matt Gaetz, it got me thinking: Why is the government classifying the video?

We’ll look at the 3 cases: The UAP is one of ours (1), an adversary (2), or a true NHI (3).

(1) It can’t be that its because the UAP is one of ours. Because as described in many encounters, these UAP are capable of radar jamming; Which they have done so on our own aircraft. Radar jamming is considered an offensive attack. There is no circumstance where these UAP are one of ours. But feel free to argue for this point.

(2) I can’t see the UAP belonging to an adversary either. What would be the motivation of classifying videos of an adversary’s craft? Has this been done before?

(3) It is quite possible that the U.S. understands that the UAP belongs to an NHI. And the U.S. even possess the same or similar technology that is present within imagery and videos (which are being withheld from public). So the motivation for classification of this evidence is to obscure the physical details of highly advanced crafts which are in possession and in use by the U.S. This is the strongest possibility in my opinion.

But let me know your thoughts.
