Personally from what I’ve seen- it seems like the crash may have been a military experimental craft- either from US or another country…
On the alien side of things there was Philip Corso who wrote The Day After Roswell that made some big claims about it being alien craft but I’m not sure how credible he is honestly… seems like no one has confirmed his claims?
Then there’s also Bob Lazar- perhaps the most prominent person now that says they reverse engineered craft from Roswell. Personally I’m not sure what to think of him, but it’s certainly interesting claims.
