*Why* is David Grusch Allowed to Disclose This?

I’m here looking for some educated opinions. I’ve not been immersed in this as much as others, but I do know through work/life a lot of military intelligence individuals, folks with serious HUMINT training. They seem mostly incredulous about his behavior and his commitment to whistleblowing. I very much would love to believe Grusch’s claims — he’s eloquent, educated, amiable, and seemingly candid (unlike a ton of other ‘whistleblowers’) but I can’t shake this feeling that he’s just a big ol’ psyop. Specifically that he’s either a narcissistic con man or that he’s being purposefully employed by those higher above him to soften the landing for future government disclosures.

I listened to the Rogan podcast and when asked about *why* he is being allowed to do this endless talking tour and he provided a roundabout answer concerning disclosure protocol. My question for those more educated on this than myself is why, if he is telling the truth, would the government allow him to continue speaking. It not only jeopardizes national security and (more importantly) the capitalist goals of the military-industrial complex, but also can be deeply fracturing for humanity, society, religious belief, etc. The US government has neutralized people for far less. So why is he being allowed to provide these interviews, continue this mission?
