Saw a square(ish? cube?) object with a red dot in the sky recently. Has anyone seen anything similar or have an explanation?

Number of witnesses:

Just one. Was with a friend but he didn’t see it. I had to lean over the balcony railing to see it after spotting it.

Descripton of sighting:

My friend and I were sitting on his balcony smoking and talking about whatever bullshit when I noticed a moving pulsing red dot in some clouds. Then I noticed the circle was in the middle of a square thing that also looked like clouds? I really don’t know how to explain it. It was a square, but almost looked like a cube? The geometry made absolutely no sense and with the perspective I couldn’t tell if I was seeing the bottom or side. Whatever it was seemed pretty large and moved quickly. It moved away from the clouds, went behind a bare tree, then made a kinda semi circle and disappeared behind the building before popping back into view and disappearing behind the building again. I’m kicking myself for not getting a picture or video but it was moving so fast I don’t think I could’ve.

I really don’t know how else to explain it. I really couldn’t tell if the little square off to the side was part of the bottom or the side of whatever I saw.

Does anyone know what it could’ve been?
