I have a serious concern about how we, humanity, need to change how we think about other living creatures after extraterrestrials are revealed to the masses. It’s a concerning topic and I’d like to open up the floor to get some other perspectives on the issue. What’s going to happen? How are we going to treat other space-faring species?
When the truth comes out, it is my hope that we as human beings will come together and stop caring about our differences as much as we do now. With that being said however, I don’t want hate and disdain for other races/religions/ etc. to simply be redirected from our fellow man onto extraterrestrials. We can’t just stop hating the people who are different than us to start hating the species that are different than us.
We have to be better in all facets of how we treat other living beings and it has to start with how we treat each other. If we have to wait until we know how to treat each other with kindness and respect, if we have to wait for there to be no ongoing wars across the Earth, if we have to wait for peace in the Middle East before we can have some kind of relationship with extraterrestrials, just how in the hell are we going to do that? How are we going to get there?
Maybe there’s always going to be a cover up. Not because we can’t handle the truth, but because we don’t lead with kindness and respect.
