Are there any efforts going on to contact UFOs/Alien life?

I’m relatively new to the rabbit hole that is UFOs, but I’m convinced that it’s real. I’ve seen enough to know that either this is the most elaborate and well coordinated hoax in human history or it’s real and world governments are doing a shit job of keeping things under-wraps so they dilute the truth with fake stuff to muddy the waters.

Anyway, I believe it’s true that there are aliens here and UFOs exist… so what’s next? It’s clear that government cannot be trusted, even if disclosure happens, it’s happening on their terms.

I’m very interested to know if any non-governmental groups or organizations are out there working on trying to contact aliens or UFOs.. kinda like Tornado chasers?

This might all be way off base but I just don’t love the idea of waiting for the government to show its cards, they are historically not great at doing that.

Interested to see what people’s thoughts are on this or if they know of any on-going contact efforts.
