At 10.50pm UK time I watched a helicopter hover with a pulsating light above it. The light took off straight up and the helicopter flew slowly around for a bit over some fields then took off to St Andrews.

I don’t know what the light was or what it was above a helicopter. It took off straight up in the sky at great speed. It was when the helicopter was hovering a while near Crail. Could it have been a drone? Do they use those for anything that involves a helicopter at night? Can a drone fly directly above a helicopters blades?
