Attempting Impartiality

Writing this as a response to the longstanding and ongoing division you can see in the community anytime you browse a popular UFO / UAP sub or forum.

People are sure charged up! But I struggle with how quickly so many jump on the pop-narrative.

With years to prepare for disclosure, and some impressively intelligent people involved in shaping the story, it’s mandatory to remember that there will be very convincing media strategies in play.

Divide, deflect, distract. It’s not even that sophisticated, in principal, but there will be layers and layers of half-truths and tricks.

If some guy on Reddit can easily discover that changes made on Wikipedia came from the DoD, then maybe it’s worth considering that ‘discovery’ of this easter egg isn’t as much a eureka moment as it was the intent all along. A thing that lends credence to the pop-narrative. A modern counterintel op is going to be steps ahead of the plebs. Chess to checkers steps ahead.

People like Mick West. Greenstreet, and Fitzpatrick are also just as much ufologists in their way.

Fitzpatrick, as an example, has a doctorate in Physics and has co-authored, with Avi Loeb, legitimate scientific work. He’s just not part of the entertainment complex. Could he be CIA? Sure, and it’s also just as possible that Nolan is, someone actually on the record as being read-in.

Further, like or loathe him, some of Greenstreet’s points about the erroneous parts of the 2017 NYT article, Elizondo’s actual involvement with AATIP, and the relationship of Grusch’s boss to Bigelow long before we’d ever heard of the whistleblower, are all valuable to consider. If Grusch is such a noble boy scout that he’s going to come forward for the public good doesn’t it stand to reason that he’d also lie for the public good? He’s the NGA and NRO posterboy. I respect his career and character but it looks a lot like he’s just the latest dangle.

My point is that the idea that one group is 100% wrong and that the other group, which is basically all ex-intel (Melon, Elizondo, Semivan, Grusch, etc), are 100% right, feels a lot like just taking the bait and I find it lacks critical thinking.

Some, or even all, of the people on both sides of these two groups are going to be part of the effort to flood the channels.

I think it’s important to question everything and everyone and fanboyism won’t help us.
