I’ve heard that Grusch’s security clearance has been rescinded, which is preventing the SCIF being set up.

I’m not American and don’t know the ins and outs of this process, but does Congress, as the elected representatives of the public, have any mechanisms to get Grusch into a SCIF and explain what he knows? I would have thought that Congress, as the elected representatives, has the power to overrule the IC.

From what I know, a SCIF can be anywhere. Trump had a SCIF at Mar-a-Lago for god’s sake. Can one of the members who was involved in the hearing not set one up?

I’m interested in the legal, and to an extent the political, barriers in getting this set up now that Grusch has supposedly lost his clearance.
