The gates have been opened. Wheels are turning.
I know folks are putting a lot of emotional energy into the Schumer Amendment, but it’s starting to get messy.
We shouldn’t lose sight that disclosure has already started. There’s no turning back at this point.
We are in a unique and exciting time where we finally have politicians championing this issue. They are pushing things forward and backing the whistleblowers. Awesome….
However.
We shouldn’t lose sight that these ARE politicians at the end of the day. They are flawed individuals that have political bases and stakeholders to please.
If all of this is true…it’s the biggest story in human existence.
Flip through the pages of history…big changes never come easily. There’s not going to be a polite, orchestrated path to disclosure. You can’t have a phased multi-year drip of the truth in our day of age.
God bless Karl Nell, but it’s naïve to think that we can contain something so monumental and not expect investigative journalists, whistleblowers, and other nation states to break that apart.
Rock the boat. Rip the bandaid off.
