Disclosure Inspired Integrity Laws

This whole non-disclosure effort by the CIA and private aerospace industry has really made me hyper-aware of just how corrupt some politicians can be cough Mike Turner cough.

This may sound crazy, but I was thinking of ways that these politicians can be incentivized to be honest and make decisions solely on what is best for our country.

So, I came up with “Integrity Laws”, which are just from brainstorming, but I think that they may actually be effective.

1.) Since so many politicians are privately funded and influenced, and since money talk so much to them, the first “law” would be to increase their pay exponentially. This would deter them from private funding; they will already be rich. Ex: regular House politicians get 1m/year. Committee: 2.5m/year. Senate: 3-5m/year. Just spitballing.

2.) If there is even an accusation or rumor of a politician being funded by someone, then there will automatically be a DEEP investigation. If you have nothing to hide, no problem.

3.) If you are found to have accepted funding, you will go behind bars for the rest of your life. It is all too often that a lawmaker goes against what they know is right, just to pass a law that favors a corporation or other entity. The highest levels of government deserve the highest penalty.

4.) If another politician assist in the finding that a politician has accepted funding, you automatically get an amount of money relating to how directly you assisted in that finding, determined by the investigation, but no less than 1 million dollars. This will make sure that politicians keep each other in check, bc they all want the $$. (If somehow a non-politician assists, then 500k for you). Again, just spitballing.

People might ask, well what if a family member wires them 50k? They can’t accept it; send it back. What if that politician let someone borrow 50k and this person is wiring them back (paying back) that 50k? Don’t let anyone borrow. Send it back.

Their financials need to be strictly monitored for a reason. Maybe create a department of gov where all they do is monitor Congress’s finances. The goal is to end corruption.

This is probably loop-holed to hell, but just wanted to share 🤙🏼
