At this point, it seems like the most useful thing anyone without clearance or some good connections can do to help disclosure is to convince others around them to take interest in it, and help them educate themselves. With more people showing interest, the pressure becomes stronger on those withholding what we want to know. It also leads to more general media picking it up.
I’ve seen a few people on here say they tried to broach the subject with people with varying degrees of success. I’ve found myself a few times in a situation where I’ve touched on the subject with someone, and they have various reactions that are usually either dismissive, incredulous, angry, suspicious (of me) , or sometimes curious.
Don’t you think it would be useful to put together some sort of entry-level set of up-to-date resources that can be shared with those who haven’t followed any of this, and may be hearing about it for the first time? Preferably targeted at people who are not going to commit more than a few minutes of their time at first.
I think something like a graduated list of short videos, then longer videos, then articles, then books, to link to. So that those who are curious but skeptical can keep going down the rabbit hole if they choose to, but the first step is fairly effortless (but convincing).
I had an incident recently where my gf was in conversation with someone who was scoffing at the whole idea, but at the end of the conversation was like ‘“Ok, well send me something convincing then.” What would you send? And what set of resources would you send beyond that?
Also to add: I think any entry level resource list like this should be constantly updated, given how fast things are changing recently.
TLDR: Can you make a list of your most convincing resources on this topic for those are mildly skeptical and won’t put much time into understanding it? Can we create a shareable and updated resource to help spread curiosity?
