Do you think people’s political views plays a role in whether or not they are open to talking about UAPs?

I apologize if this has already been discussed. I’m continuously blown away that none of my friends and acquaintances care about the congressional hearings regarding UAP disclosure. I often feel ashamed or ridiculed sharing these kinds of videos on social media. It occurred to me today, that the majority of Congressional reps who are pushing for disclosure are hardcore republicans/Trump supporters and I wonder if that’s why none of my friends will engage in this topic. All of my friends are hardcore liberals, as am I. They all kind of roll their eyes whenever I try to bring it up.

Does anyone else feel like the (mostly) republican push for disclosure could be the reason it’s not taken seriously by so many?
