Gaetz’s tweet: https://x.com/repmattgaetz/status/1729999073854283823?s=46&t=-TaWe4QIcOPusPYpEzhnIA
Rep. Matt Gaetz is trying to kill the UAP Disclosure Act, using Rep. Burchett’s toothless single page legislation as the optimal route for disclosure. See it here: https://amendments-rules.house.gov/amendments/BURCTN_024_xml%20(V2)230710161047270.pdf
No title 50 authority, only says DoD, no IC agencies like the CIA. Completely vague. Worthless.
Gaetz thinks the UAP timeline is too slow and thinks we won’t get answers for “25 years.” He is wrong, it just means events not 25 years old are not required for immediate disclosure, but anything older than 1999 is fair game for immediate disclosure. He doesn’t even understand the bill he is criticizing.
Read the robust UPA Disclosure Act here: https://www.democrats.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/uap_amendment.pdf
The UAP Disclosure Act took weeks to write, is bulletproof in the current form, and is bipartisan. This was sponsored by both Schumer and Rounds—Rounds is a republican!
There is a press conference tomorrow with Rep Luna, Rep Gaetz, Rep Burchette, and Rep Moskowitz at 12:30 EST. https://x.com/realannapaulina/status/1730023736114311352?s=46&t=-TaWe4QIcOPusPYpEzhnIA
We must get them on the same page before it all falls apart!
