Help me out here. Let me preface this by saying that I’m a pretty big believer in the fact that we don’t actually know anything about how our world/reality works, so we cant definitively say what’s going on. I’d like to believe statistically that with trillions of planets there has to be intelligent life. Whether they’ve visited Earth or not remains to be confirmed (aside from witness testimony). Even that doesn’t seem so out of the realm of possibility when you consider that in Astrophysics, the new JWT pictures have shown that we might have the wrong timeline for our Universe.
My question is; why are we taking the legal route? I understand that there are classified documents, but why? Who cares? Why are we caring about classifications at this point? I’ve seen several points to argue back against why this isn’t a good idea; the most common ones I’ve seen are:
1) As we’ve seen with Covid, humans aren’t the brightest and panic pretty quickly 2) The people who would reveal the information would get in big big legal trouble
For point 1 it’s pretty understandable; but isn’t a closed, controlled disclosure from the government who has essentially been lying to us for 70 years at-least not the best form of disclosure? Why should we trust the information coming out from the same people who have lied about it? What’s to say they can’t make new fake “classified” documents and show those instead, with tons of lies and propaganda? If the CIA can do so much as people often claim here when it comes to conspiracies, what’s to say the information they keep releasing to the public has SOME (maybe even none) truth to it, and mostly lies?
Point 2 makes no sense to me. We’re talking about a massive cover-up, who’s “legal trouble” should outweigh those of the whistleblowers. We’re talking about a massive cover-up against human-kind from not just ONE government, but several. I’m conflicted on why these people can’t come out, release all the videos/information they have, and that’s it. People here are saying they’d go to jail, die, etc… if this information is all out tomorrow, do you really think the government has the time to go hunting these people down? If they do; wouldn’t that just prove everything those people are saying is true?
Given that there’s dozens of whisteblowers and not thousands (from what we know), and also given that we know these special programs don’t have many people who get access to them; wouldn’t the information currently leaked already give insight to the three letter agencies and what-have-you to shut them up; or better yet make them disappear? If they have a “fail-safe” that releases all the videos or information if something happens to them… then why are we playing a game of stand-off?
