I just watched the weirdest thing in the sky. First of all, I want to apologise, you probably want to slap me for not taking a video, or even a picture. But when something like this happens without warning my first reaction is to keep looking at it, trying to figure out what I’m seeing. Only after it’s gone do I remember I probably should’ve grabbed my phone…

I’m situated all the way over in Bulgaria. It’s nearly 11PM now. I was on my window, smoking, when I saw this UAP. (It’s unidentifiable atleast to me lol)

The shortest way to describe it is like a flying flame. My first thought was, horribly, that it was a burning plane. But, I’ll break down all the possibilities I can think of and why they’re wrong later. I watched this thing, t was twinkling just like a campfire would in the distance, fly over the entire horizon in a very straight line, probably over 7-8 seconds. It didn’t look like a dot or solid shape in the beginning, it was a very dynamic shape, again, just like a fire. But at the end of the sighting, it grew smaller into a dot, until it disappeared, making me think this was something closer to the ground. It was a solid reddish-orange colour, and didn’t illuminate the air around it, like a meteor or something brighter would. It left no visible trail either. It also mantained speed from the first moment I noticed it. It didn’t accelerate or decelerate, even as it was going out of sight, as far as I can tell.

Okay, onto my guesses and their debunks. My first thought that it was a plane – I didn’t hear any planes, and I’d hear a plane that’s much farther away than this one would be. This one was both much bigger than a plane at max hearing distance, and was moving too fast for a plane at max hearing distance.

My second thought was that a bird caught on fire. But by the end, I don’t think a bird could keep flying straight for 8 seconds while engulfed in flames.

A meteor. This was my last thought after the ordeal, and after looking it up, meteors can indeed be red/orange coloured when they’re very low in the atmosphere. But it didn’t leave any visible trail and looked nothing like any meteor video I’ve seen. It didn’t illuminate the air around it, and the overall shape of the “flame” was kinda upright, not bent towards the back as it was moving, if that makes sense. I’d also expect a meteor so low to make some sound or an audible crash. And most damning to this theory, it moved perpendicular to the ground. A meteor afaik would have somewhat of a downwards direction, unless it’s flying directly above you. But this thing flew straight in front of me across the whole horizon, again, for 6-8 seconds.

Some kinda firework? Didn’t look like one, didn’t have a sound or pop. And flew straight for this long without dropping in elevation or decelerating.

Lastly, the best guess I have aside from an UAP, a drone that caught on fire. That’s the only thing I have that could explain the proximity without noise, how it could still fly, and the trajectory. Although I have no idea how a drone would burn like that, so I’m hoping any drone enthusiasts can come across this post. I’d expect a drone to kinda explode, or more like fizzle out rapidly, and emit a lot of smoke when it catches on fire. I’d expect the smoke to also be visible, if not from the lighting from the city under it, atleast a little from the flame itself. And how it could fly straight is still a little puzzling. But it is possible ig.

Satellite. Just no.

I really regret not making a video so you could see it… So again, apologies, but I didn’t want to run to grab my phone from the charger, just to miss whatever this thing was. So, if we consider it’s ayy lmaos, it really reminded me of those stories from roman times, where they’d see “flaming shields” in the sky and call them angels. We do have a folk tradition here, where we light little wooden arrows on fire and shoot them as far as possible. It really resembled that, except the fire was much bigger and it didn’t drop down even a single degree, or lose speed throughout its whole flight. Not to mention, that tradition is not on this date lol.

Also relevant to mention, in the middle of its flight, right when the thought of NHI occured to me, I had a slight heartache. Almost like they realised I’m looking at them. Probably just me getting a little too spooked by the prospect lol. But I’ll mention it just in case. Maybe there’s some stories out there of UAPs causing heart attacks somehow when sighted lol.

If anyone has seen something with these characteristics, or seen or heard someone else describe it, please share! Ideally, I’d love to compare what I saw with a video and see if something looks exactly like it, that would be awesome. Although I see how that’s rich for me to ask for that 😅

I did make a search with “flaming ufo”, but nothing similar to this came up. I only found what looked like either chinese lanterns, or fireworks.
