I captured these strange lights in the sky

Can anyone explain these weird lights in the sky?

I’m kinda confident these lights aren’t ordinary because I saw these particular lights/patterns in a different part of the sky about 10 minutes before I captured this on video. I couldn’t capture it at first because I didn’t have my phone with me. I went inside, grabbed my phone, walked back outside, and saw these lights in a totally different area in the sky.

When I first glanced at it, I thought these light sources came from spotlights from an event in the area or something, but how is it possible to have spotlights beaming in one area then all of a sudden beam in a totally different area in the sky? I know spotlights can travel far but not at the distant I witnessed. Also, these beam of lights appear to be moving a lot faster than a spotlight.

The first set of lights occurred way south from this captured location.

I captured this on May 18 2014 at 10:53pm in Los Angeles.

I searched online and couldn’t find any articles of strange lights being reported in Los Angeles on this particular date.

What do y’all think? Are these spotlights or is something strange going on above in the night sky? I would love to hear you guys opinions on this. I have another video, a longer version of the same thing.

I’m no stranger to witnessing strange unexplained things so even if these light sources came from an object that is out of this world, I wouldn’t be shocked.
