This man serves his country honorably, including as a combat veteran. Has PTSD after returning home, along with his fellow veteran friend. Sad circumstances surrounding his friend, which only makes things harder. Also faces personal reprisals against himself and his family for legally filing a whistleblower complaint to the ICIG and to Congress alleging illegal concealment of programs from congressional oversight and misappropriation of public funds.
