Duty 1: Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP)

Duty 2: Administrative advisor to the Division Chief. Guides the Chief, Reconnaissance Operations Division on efforts relating to administrative actions within the Division.

Duty 3: Serves as advisor on A-ISR issues. Provides recommendations and defends decisions on operations policy matters relating to UAP and A-ISR.

Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship Required All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Sensitive information, Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP). Qualifications This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the “Professional” work category are at the “Full Performance” work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee’s salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee’s qualifications in relation to the job.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of a comprehensive range of manned and unmanned A-ISR operational issues, including capability development, crew training, aircraft maintenance, and Global Force Management principles, and of advanced dessemination principles used for various methods to disburse information from various sources, experience and knowledge of the national intelligence community and Joint DoD structure and organizations and mission/functions, skill in concise oral and written communication in order to write reports and inform others of various reports for senior level audiences and in conducting research in order to produce accurate assessments, ability to maintain control of classified material, assemble various sources of data and use the data to make decisions and recommendations under various conditions and urgency. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of a comprehensive range of manned and unmanned A-ISR operational issues, including capability development, crew training, aircraft maintenance, and Global Force Management principles. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing; in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work; writing clear and concise intelligence products; and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients Ability to maintain control of classified material; quickly assimilate disparate data; render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data; make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience; and present and/or justify a position effectively
