Mods, can we please discuss whether a megathread is the best route this in a healthy, constructive way? Putting this subject of whether a mega thread being the correct route to a vote within the sub would go a long way.

Mods, I extend my profound gratitude for your efforts with this sub, particularly amidst the exponential expansion of this subreddit, however I believe many in this sub have some concerns regarding the recent decision of consolidating all discourse and content pertaining to the widely debated plane footage into a megathread. While I acknowledge the unlikeliness of ulterior motives, a poll asking whether this is the best route or at the very least, allowing open discussion towards whether this is the best move, would go a long way.

If you can allow this it would uphold trust, fosters open debate, ensures accountability, and safeguards transparency. Without this it is easy for others to come to the conclusion that the mods could be suppressing further knowledge in a “catch and kill” method.

That is all, feel free to enjoy some light refreshments and cookies in the lobby by the exit.
