I’ve just come across this video of a Bill Nelson of NASA bizarrely claiming they don’t know what’s on the backside of the moon.
Nasa launched the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter in 2009 and its still circling the moon recording data today. It 3d mapped the lunar surface with high resolution cameras. So why would he say this? And why is China interested in what’s there?
China launched their own Lidar capable of scanning 130 feet deep into the lunar soil in 2019. It has been returning data since then. They may have found something interesting enough to land there.
What’s everyone thoughts?
