Recently, while diving into a new diet and watching Michael Pollan discuss nutrition with an audience at some conference, I stumbled upon an intriguing parallel. Pollan suggests that since we can’t see nutrients, we blindly trust the scientists and nutritionists, the so-called modern prophets, to guide our eating habits. It struck me how similar this is to the world of UFOlogy, where a select few claim to have exclusive insights into the unexplained.
It’s like these experts, in both nutrition and UFOlogy, are gatekeepers standing between us and a vast unknown. They hold the keys to what we should believe, much like the bishops of the past who claimed a direct line to the divine. It makes me wonder, what if their gate is all there is?
We know who the gatekeepers are in UFOlogy. We know their names. It’s the same group of people. But I seriously consider their bias in actually wanting everyone to fully know what’s going on. I would serve their interest to make the situation more confusing. Not less.
What do you think?
