Potential sociological terrorism by NHI

I’ve been thinking about the reasons why the Pentagon would not want to disclose the truth. The sol foundation conference I beleive they talked about possible negative impacts of disclosure on human society, especially religious people falsely thinking NHI to be divine, etc. I believe the problem might be alot worse.

Imagine a technologically superior civilization coming into contact with us, they’ll have all the answers we’re searching for and all the questions we haven’t even asked, and instead of enslaving us or blowing us up, they instead start to help us out in the most neutral ways possible, (disarming nukes, watching potential high risk volcanic activity and making sure most of us are alive for the long run)

This, I beleive is the biggest threat to human society potentially, not that the nhi are hostile but are instead benevolent. Imagine the Dutch East India Company, instead of looting, terrorizing and enslaving nations, they were ‘actually’ Christians and practiced a Gandhian style pacifist approach, and spread the gifts of technology, medicine and democracy through free and peaceful means to other civilizations. How quickly would all the other kingdoms of the world give in to a technologically and spiritually advanced civilization? The sun would really never set on the British empire.

Now imagine a civilization from outer space doing this to us in the 21st century? You’re telling me there’s aliens that can cure my daughter’s terminal cancer with a snap? Then fuck the government, I’ll happily pay my taxes to the aliens. It would really not take much for such a civilization to win over the majority of human population just by luring us in through high moral reasoning.

Our moral blind spots are their bait, and we’ll helplessly walk into it, like a dog bieng domesticated.
