Why “prepare”? Let’s think: within the realm of possibility, the most this could have been are spy drones from other countries. That’s the maximum. But let’s consider, if it was that, what’s the need for all this secrecy and a months-long agenda to announce it? If it was that, they have every right to shoot it down, and there’s no reason to conceal anything. Anyone whose drone was shot down would know it was shot down, and the U.S. announcing that they shot down a spy drone within their country wouldn’t change anything. So if this isn’t non-human technology, they’re making it appear as if it is.
