Theory for why UFO’s are found around bodies of water

So here my theory. I believe that these crafts are likely running on fusion energy (this is how sun’s emits energy). With fusion you smash two atoms together the result is a new atom and the expulsion of energy. With the right atom combination more energy is released than what was required to start the fusion reaction.

The main elements used to create fusion today are isotopes (have extra neutrons) of hydrogen. So deuterium – deuterium (hydrogen with an extra neutron) fusion combo creates a positive energy output but also create an atom of Tritium (hydrogen with two extra neutrons) or helium-3. These newly created atoms can then be used in another fusion reaction with deuterium to create much high energy reactions.

So Deuterium is likely needed for any sort of sustainable fusion setup. Luckily deuterium is naturally abundant. Where you might ask? It’s found on planets with bodies of water. It exits as Heavy Water, this is water but instead of having normal hydrogen atoms it has deuterium atoms. This water pools at the bottom of oceans and lakes in highly concentrated reserves. Heavy water is also an extremely efficient way of storing deuterium because of the space savings of having it as a fluid vs a hard to store gas.

If you were to dive to the bottom of a ocean, let’s say Marianas trench there would be a large reserve of highly concentrated deuterium. Ready for the taking. The deuterium would need to be extracted, usually done through electrolysis, which you will end up with deuterium(gas) and oxygen, which of course is great for keeping occupants alive and breathing. I believe these crafts/UAP visiting earth and are spotted near bodies of water because that is where they’re refueling. The crafts are likely diving to the bottom of lakes and oceans and pulling from the reserve.

Again this is obviously a theory, but if we were advanced enough to have fusion generators/engines, we would do exactly this, for interstellar travel.

I hope you enjoyed my half-assed science lesson.
