Tired of the misidentified, the misleading and the hoaxes

It’s like 99% of the sighting posts here are a never ending conveyor belt of misidentified everyday phenomena, opportunistic attempts to deceive (eg a light reflected in a glass window that someone thinks looks like a mysterious light in the sky and can get away with claiming it’s a UFO), or outright hoaxes.

Am I alone in thinking there should be another subreddit where people can post these things to their hearts’ content, to allow us to keep serious discussion above the dross, or there badly needs to be a serious subreddit, where the subject isn’t sidetracked with all these spurious posts.
