Was Roswell Covered Up Because Of Human Radiation Experiments?

Michio Kaku, the respected string theorist, gave an unusual answer to the Roswell coverup. The official answer has been that the incident was a crash of Project Mogul, a series weather balloons used to monitor atomic tests by Russia overseas. But no, Dr. Kaku says it was hushed because the military back then was “conducting secret, unauthorized experiments releasing radioactive materials into people’s backyard.” Balloons were authorized to release radioactive materials to test the effects of exposure on human population. This is why the crash *had to be* covered up.

His comment comes at the 38 minute mark in his recent interview with with Ross Coultart:

Stepping back to view this as a person who has been looking into Roswell for 30 years, it sounds like a new twist. Granted, the Department of Energy has stated, “Between 1944 and 1974 the federal government sponsored several thousand human radiation experiments.” The acknowledged tests seem to be limited to injection studies, which ran, ironically enough, to 1947. However, *radiation-bearing balloon flights over unaware citizens has never been the official answer for Roswell*. If anyone knows anything different, feel free to comment.

Here are his words:

“The United States Military was conducting secret, unauthorized experiments releasing radioactive materials into people’s backyard. Now today, that would be considered outrageous. We would be suing people left and right, looking at cancer rates going up. But back then we did not know exactly how radiation spread in an environment, because Hiroshima was only just two years before. Therefore the military authorized weather balloons to then release radioactive materials into people’s backyards. OK? That’s why the military had to hush up this whole Roswell thing, regardless of whether or not they were real aliens there, because of the Cold War.”

That was 30 years ago, says Coultart. Why are they still covering up? “Well, I don’t know,” replies the physicist. “You’ll have to ask the military.”
