What if “Greys” are a Treaty?

Has that thought been tossed around? That this is what you hop in should you leave your planet? It seems to be the end state of a biological human, which is why time travel is so discussed. But, I think it’s much simpler. That being a grey is a treaty itself: the “grey obsession with soul”. That hopping in one of these things is based on the idea you can brain to brain. That this thing is anonymous on purpose. A societal treaty to escape physical, gender, racial, and species bias when talking to another individual.
