What is the motivation for creating fakes?

It’s like every other post here. And it’s sometimes incredibly obvious.

There are 3 different forms of evidence circulated:

Fake; Created with visual effects software, or otherwise. Explainable objects that are initially unexplained. Legitimately unexplainable UAP.

I am not so concerned with #2. There are plenty of cases where objects are difficult to identify but are still potentially explainable.

I am more not understanding of the motivation for creating a visual effect with the intention of poisoning the evidence pool.

It makes it way harder to verify what decent evidence we do have.

Just an honest question for anyone who has ever created or entertained the idea of fake evidence of UFOs. Why?
