What is the original source of the claim that fiber optic tech was reversed engineered from a retrieved craft?

Taking a break from the depths of woo to revisit some curiosities I have about the nuts and bolts. Recently, I had thought about this claim about fiber tech’s origins in relation to UFOs.

Current state of fiber optic allows for data transmission more than 62 miles, so it’s allowing more data transfer & connectivity. People often only think of fiber for it’s higher bandwidth compared to ethernet, but it has multiple advantages over its predecessor technology, such as being unaffected by electromagnetic interference.

Fiber also had its first use case in the medical field, in endoscopy… the manufacture of these flexible optical probes allowed for medical advancement in diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Particularly noteworthy, it’s been used in military aviation – these developments started as fly-by-wire, but crafts like Digitac’s A-7D explored fly-by-light or fly-by-optic use cases and specs. The F-22 and F-35 have an optical data bus, and the F-35 has more capabilities and EMI shielding. And that’s ultimately what sparks my curiosity about all this – I recall NORAD sending F-22s and F-35s after a UAP, and while some of the pilots experienced jamming and interference, others did not. And a F-22 was able to shoot it down regardless. One must presume, if these are our capabilities with fiber, whatever the UAPS are doing with fiber (presuming they have that) is far more advanced than us, and probably not just a data bus.

So with that, where does this tale even originate? Anyone ever revisit this claim? I wondered what else I might not know about fiber that might be relevant to UAPS, and I had also wondered what other technology is claimed to have come from UAPs, too, as an aside – not a main point of discussion, please.

edit: I made some changes for clarity…
