Discussion time. Opening it up to opinions.
After Gary Nolan’s interview with Ross Coulthart, I’ve been wondering more about whether it takes a certain personality type or even “spirituality” to have close encounters with UFOs. If you haven’t seen that interview and don’t know what I’m talking about that would be a good prerequisite before diving into this discussion.
Disclaimer: when I say close encounters with UFOs / UAP, I’m not talking about seeing tiny little unidentifiable orbs high up in the sky that look like satellites, or really far away specks. I’m talking about the really close encounters with craft from a few metres to a few hundred metres away, truly breathtaking, stunning sightings that stop you in your tracks and that is so profound it changes people’s worldviews.
What I do know is: believing in UFOs, aliens, NHI, or God, or the supernatural, doesn’t make you more likely to see one. Talking to the skies, “manifesting” them, praying, concentrating, meditating, none of that helps.
So, beside just pure chance, I am wondering if it is down to something in your personality traits itself, which may be wires your brain differently and makes you more likely to have this kind of engagement with something higher than us.
For example: if you are a depressed person or an angry person are you less likely to see one? If you are a hostile debunking atheist are you less likely to see one? If it turns out they’re somehow connected to religion, or spirituality, or the OG sources of what people have called angels etc, then, if you are more of a sinner or less moral a person, are you less likely to see one? For example: if you cheat, lie, steal, covet, hate, etc, are you less likely to see one?
Has Jacques Vallee or Gary Nolan said anything more about this or has anyone else thought about this and got any hypothesis?
Thank you.
