Why is AARO made out to be the sole authority over UAP issue in Pentagon statements?

Why is it that in every statement about UAP from any Pentagon source, it’s always “AARO has found no verifiable evidence..” or “AARO is not aware..” ?

Everytime I come across one of these statements I can’t help but think “Bitch you have over 2 million people working for you. When someone asks you about UAP, they’re not just asking about whether AARO has found anything, they’re asking if anyone in the entire department of defense has found anything interesting – the answer to which is most certainly yes.”

I wish reporters interviewing people in Pentagon would make this clarification and press them further.
