Just a question: does anyone ever asked who should be entitled to speak on the behalf, or to the humanity as a whole?

I believe there has to be a consensus in there to make decisions, and maybe the announcement that we’re not alone falls under their prerogatives. Maybe…
Cause I don’t see anyone raising this question: is the US’ government allowed to make a disclosure on this topic, even if they wanted?
