Seen yesterday afternoon. Noticed when my boy said: “A shooting star!”
At first it looked just that. Like a ball accompanied by that tail comets have. Then it lost the tail after a shockwave. I caught that time at the start of the video, you can see how it looses the tail after some kind of shockwave. Like when planes brake the sound barrier.
After that, to the naked eye, it looked like a shiny ball going high altitude and really fast. Couldn’t notice when I was looking at it, but if you watch the video closely, you can see how it regained its tail and lost it all over again after another kind of shockwave.
Don’t know what it is but it didn’t look/behaved like any plane/shooting star I’ve ever seen before.
Thoughts?
