I read the patents and came away with this layman’s model of what he was trying to describe: the electromagnetic ‘shape’ of matter can be subtly altered. This alteration creates an imbalance ‘structurally’ in the item’s ‘place’ in ‘space’. Space, being a medium seeking homeostatic balance, pushes the item ‘out of the way’ in an effort to homogenize space. This rebalancing process repositions the item to relieve the imbalance. If the imbalance is persistently applied, spacetime will continuously adjust it’s ‘self’ to relieve the imbalance. The implication is that spacetime is not inert. It is an information space and is (re-)active.

The best analogy is a submarine. By changing the sub’s ballast, we can change its ‘buoyancy’. In this case, buoyancy applies to many more degrees of freedom than in water. I can change an object’s buoyancy in six directions as opposed to just two (up and down). Electromagnetic ballast (electrostatics) operates in multiple dimensions. This also explains why the device continues to apply ‘force’ with no current. A submarine can maintain depth without any change in ‘current’ or flow of energy into a reservoir. Once the reservoir (capacitor) is filled (charged) it is full and will continue to apply force-as-ballast as long as the medium (space) maintains its uniformity.

Now, add in multiple ballast generators in an asymmetrical configuration and you can get motion without impulse. Think of a sub with ballast tanks in the front and back. You can tilt a sub by creating a ballast differential. Intensify this and you can create a differential which creates a force vector.

Finally place these ballast generators all around the surface of the vehicle. With computer controlled configurations you can create resultant force vectors, in any direction, instantaneously. With increased intensity you can create something akin to electromagnetic cavitation which will envelop the hull in something like a movable faraday field. This field nullifies inertia like a faraday cage nullifies EMF.

At static speed (no movement) you use DC voltage. To move slowly you create DC voltage differentials across the ballast generators. To go at high-speed you need cavitation. Cavitation can be achieved by superposing resonant AC signals onto the ballast generators. Take them up to RF and you can get cavitation. From there you can go as fast and as far as you want.

Am I off here?

The patent also states that the effectors, the surfaces acting as ballast, are built INTO the structure of the craft itself. In other words, the body of the craft itself IS the effector. This sort of aligns with descriptions of other craft described as “alive” or seemingly sentient. I am not saying they are alive, but they would exhibit very subtle movements due to EMF currents effecting the craft like a boat sitting in a dock. Boats move up and down while floating in water.

TL;DR These craft are more like submarines that ‘float’ in space, which is like a multi-dimensional liquid, and can be accelerated using solid-state geometry reconfiguration (i.e. semi-conductors) using electrostatics. Would also explain their ability to traverse many different mediums (air, space and water).
