Descripton of sighting:
Saw a perfectly straight line of lights traveling Eastward. Spotted it west of Hill AFB and it traveled almost directly over the top of the base but disappeared a little past directly over my head but before reaching the mountains. I checked the live feed on flightradar24 and saw nothing traveling due east near Hill AFB at that current moment. I also check starlink’s live satellite map and they had nothing in a straight line like that traveling east. For perspective, the line of lights looked similar to how satellites appear in the sky as far as appearance but a bit brighter. There were around 10 individual lights in a straight line grouped close together. The line was about 2 to 3 thumb widths in length. Keep in mind we are at around 4400 ft in elevation at Hill AFB and when I first spotted the line of lights they were at about a 45° angle west of me. I don’t know the math to figure out how big that would have to be at normal low earth orbit where satellites usually are but I feel like it would have to be pretty large. Also I don’t know of any aircraft that has that many lights in a straight line like that. If anyone does I’d be interested in knowing what does. I can’t think of any other details but I’d be interested in knowing if anyone else saw what I saw.
